Western Region PTA Recognizes Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns

Tonawanda, NY - Every year, the Western Region PTA recognizes a person, or organization for their commitment to Community Service. This year, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northtowns was chosen. For over 85 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns (BGCNT) has served the Tonawandas, Buffalo, Kenmore, and into Grand Island.

Since 1938, they have worked every day to continue to provide much needed programming for the nearly 3,000 members who walk through the doors. The organization provides nourishing meals to every member five days a week. All funds raised help provide programs and services designed to meet their mission, which is:

  • "To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

Robert O’Brocta, CEO of BGCNT, was on hand to accept the honor with new Director of Resource Development Kathleen Bentley. For more information about after school programs or about how to donate please visit www.bgcnt.org.
